Context: Marc Vallée has co-authored major front page investigations on police surveillance of protesters and journalists. The investigations exposed secret police databases and covert state targeting of environmental activists. The investigations were published between March 2009 and July 2010 for The Guardian and Financial Times.

Marc has also written comment pieces on photographers rights, terrorism law, press freedom, civil liberties and political dissent for The Guardian.
