“Marc Vallée” – marcvallee.co.uk

My web designer has been hard at work. We have a new Splash Page which you can see here. The plan is that the picture, or pictures, will change from time to time to showcase new and old work. To start things off I have chosen to showcase two pictures from south New Jersey from the summer of 1996.

Back in the day – New Jersey 1996

These two pictures, from the summer of 1996, have not been seen online before. In the 90s the pictures were shown in exhibitions both here in the UK and in America but since then the negatives and prints have been boxed away.

Last Thursday I spent the morning with the nice folks at Metro Imaging to research the best way to start digitizing my archive of youth culture picture. It’s early days and its going to take the best part of the next year to edit and scan but I feel it will be worth it.

Clients: Pictures are available for rights managed editorial licensing. High resolution images are available on request.

“Art Talks | Larry Clark on What Do You Do For Fun?”anothermag.com

Here is a great interview with Larry Clark from the folks at Another Magazine about his new exhibition. It’s not the longest of interviews but well worth watching all the same. Enjoy!

Yesterday I visited the Simon Lee Gallery here in London to see the new Larry Clark exhibition. The London show comes off the back of Clark’s retrospective ‘Kiss the Past Hello’ at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris last year.

The ‘1992’ photographic installation was breathtaking and stunning. I have been lucky to see a few of these prints over the years but to see 209 of them at one time, in one place was overwhelming. I also had a meeting at the gallery yesterday and to top things off I got to meet and chat with Larry Clark. A truly inspirational and charming man. If you are a Larry Clark fan this show is a must see.
