“In collaboration with the London Festival of Architecture, Anise Gallery will be exhibiting works from a select group of leading architectural and documentary photographers. The focus of the exhibition will be the unique and varied landscape of SE1, in particular the multitude of diverse buildings that can be found in this incredible pocket of South East London.”Anise Gallery.

In June I will be taking part in a group exhibition at the Anise Gallery for this years London Festival of Architecture program. I’m incredibly happy that one of my Long Live Southbank pictures has been included. I will also be taking part in a Miniclick talk at the gallery on Thursday 5 June along with other photographers from the show. This is one not to miss.

Private View: 6pm to 9pm, Thursday 12 June 2014.

Queer

“Zines”marcvallee.co.uk

“Publishers’ Notes: Queer by Marc Vallée”(7MB PDF file)

My new zine Queer is now available to buy online via Big Cartel.

Twelve raw images over 24 black and white pages of my close friend Dom Lyne. Tattoos, sexuality and mental health with a nod to American novelist Dennis Cooper. Shot over two years in Dom’s London home in Camden Town.

Dom and I used to dance the night away at the Ghetto nightclub behind the London Astoria a lifetime ago. We lost touch, but our shared passion for the work of Dennis [Cooper] brought us back into each others lives. Yes, the zine is about Dom and his mental health, but it’s also about the importance of an alternative queer gaze. It’s a kind of an antidote or reaction to an ever increasing, and boring, homogenised gay world.

Queer Zine 2
