Long Live Southbank Book Cover

Long Live Southbank Bookllsb.com

Selected page spreads of my pictures featured in the Long Live Southbank book. The book is a celebration of the history and culture of the Undercroft and the campaign to save it.

Over 400 pages of essays, pictures and illustrations. From the history of the site and it’s architecture to the present day all wrapped up in four decades of skateboarding history.

The contributors list is long and impressive. A who’s who of British skateboarding. Two of the many things that stand out for me are Chris Steele-Perkins ‘Cardboard City’ pictures of the homeless in the walkways, undercrofts and underpasses of the Southbank and Waterloo. Plus a brilliant essay by Iain Borden on the architecture of the site. And that’s just scratching at the surface of this book.

You can order a copy via the LLSB shop.

Throughout the day there will be demos and competitions plus a group photography installation on the walls which I’m taking part in. This is one not to miss folks.

Sunday is also the launch party for my new zine just over the river from 7pm at the Retro Bar. There will be beer, tunes, good times and of course everyone will be able to buy a copy. If you are coming make sure you RSVP.
