Richard Kennedy died yesterday. He was only 36 years old. His father and my good friend Wally called me last night. I went straight round to the family home. Richard was a caring, creative and beautiful person. This loss will be felt far and wide. We are devastated.

I took these pictures of Richard twelve years ago in 2001.

End of year Review: Zines
December 29th, 2012

“Zine”marcvallee.co.uk

No surprise that I’m a big fan of zines and independent book publishing. Bringing out two of my own zines this year has been a great deal of fun and very rewarding. The inspiration came from friends. In particular Andreas Laszlo Konrath via Pau Wau Publications in New York City and Brian David Stevens via Hamburger Eyes.

Plus a big thank you goes out to both my designer Colin Robinson from CRA Design and Lucy Moore from Claire de Rouen Books. Getting a yes from Lucy was a great day and she has been very supportive of both zines.

The plan for 2013 is to put out three new zines and build up to publishing a book in 2014. So with that I would to thank everyone who bought a zine this year. Bottom line I could not have done it with out you.
