End of Year Review: Zines, Talks & Exhibitions
December 30th, 2016

The year kicked off with Millbank and that Van being included in the limited edition Archive One box set from Café Royal Books.

In the spring a talk at Tate Britain on my zines, self-publishing and photobooks. Huck Magazine interviewed me on my “two decades of documenting youth culture” and I was invited to Cardiff to talk about my work at the University of South Wales and Ffoton Talks. Then Offprint London at Tate Modern.

Vandals and the City was launched in the summer at Urban Spree in Berlin with an exhibition and talk. The talk was chaired by the Berlin based academic Prof. Sandra Bartoli and founding member of Büro für Konstruktivismus.

Vandals and the City was featured in the Guardian and Huck Magazine.

The London launch of Vandals and the City was held in August at The Photographers’ Gallery along with a slideshow installation and Tate Britain acquired a copy for its library collection.

In October a talk at London South Bank University plus an exhibition of Vandals and the City in the university’s photobook project space. The year ended with the second of edition of Vandals and the City being published after the first edition sold out.

Huge thanks to everyone who bought a zine, came to a talk or exhibition. I would also like to wish you all the best for 2017.

End of Year Review: Zines, Books, Talks & Exhibitions
December 29th, 2014

The year kicked off with Foyles giving me a shelf with my name on it, a talk at Photo-Forum and the publication of the second edition of Anti-Skateboarding Devices. In April I took part in The Photocopy Club exhibition at Urban Spree in Berlin, the Café Royal Books Index 2014 project at the University of Central Lancashire and Half Tone at the Open Space Gallery in Copenhagen.

My fifth zine Queer was published in May. Twelve raw images over 24 black and white pages of my close friend Dom Lyne. Tattoos, sexuality and mental health with a nod to American novelist Dennis Cooper. Shot over two years in Dom’s London home in Camden Town. Also in May, I took part in the Long Live Southbank exhibition at the Undercroft which was followed by the London Festival of Architecture exhibition and Miniclick talk at the Anise Gallery.

The summer started with Anti-Skateboarding Devices being featured in the Guardian, then a talk at The Photographers’ Gallery on Larry Clark and in August Millbank and that Van was published by Café Royal Books.

September I took part in a group show at The Print Room in Malaysia and the brilliant Long Live Southbank book was published in October. Anti-Skateboarding Devices was also reviewed in Source Magazine.

Number Six was published in December with a launch party at Ti Pin Tin books in east London. The year ended with Number Six on sale in Tokyo!

Huge thanks to everyone who bought a zine or book and came to a talk or exhibition. I would like to wish you all the best for 2015.
